Dr. Moily's flair for penning poetry is evident in his two collections 'JoteyagiNadeyona' and 'HeegonduYakshaPrasline' jointly written with his wife, Malathi. Dr. Moily makes no secret of the fact that while writing the epic, ' Shree Ramayana Mahanveshanam', he often consulted his wife and gratefully accepted most of her ideas and suggestions.
He authored three collections of poetry, namely:
Halu-Jenu Maththe: An anthology of poems.
Nadeyali Samara: An anthology of poems.
Yakshaprashne: An anthology of poems.
Sri Ramayana Mahanveshanam: This poem will be published in five volumes, the first four of which have already been released between February 2001 and March 2004. Originally published in Kannada, the epic poem is now being translated into Hindi.
He was also awarded Second Father Kamil Bulke Ramayana International Award, 2007.
He is now penning another epic poem on Draupadi titled 'SHRIMUDI PARIKRAMANAM'.
HE HAS WRITTEN A NUMBER OF FAMOUS PLAYS IN KANNADA.
